John Nathan is the fifth-born of six children in his family, living in a remote village in grass thatched huts. His father abandoned the family years ago, and the mother has since struggled to care for them, especially because she had stomach issues that required an operation she could not afford. John Nathan has been a part of EWT’s education program since he was eight years old, and his mother has been so encouraged by his sponsorship that she joined EWT’s discipleship program as well.
John Nathan has worked hard in school and has been so excited by his education. His favorite subject is science, and his favorite activity is to play football. He serves as a leader in his school to the other students and has gained so much confidence through these experiences. The changes and opportunities in his life have brought joy to his entire family.
John Nathan has completed his primary education, and, as there are no secondary schools near where he lives, he needs a boarding sponsor to continue his schooling.
