Christopher is one of the youngest in a family of seven siblings. His parents have been married for 26 years, and his father, Patrick, was a healthy leader in the church until he came down with a mysterious illness in 2010. He visited several hospitals for treatment, but they were unable to help him, and he became paralyzed from his legs to his chest. This left him not only unable to work, but as barely able to move independently at all. He must be carried to go out for fresh air or to relieve himself.
Since this illness began, most of the family’s small income has gone towards Patrick’s medical bills, and they have had to sell almost all their property, including cows, goats, and land. As the sole provider, Christopher’s mother has struggled to pay for food for her family and for fees to educate her children. Christopher has been laying bricks so that he might earn money to support his own education and begin secondary school.
Christopher is one of the top achievers in his class, and he has been nominated by our school superintendent to receive a scholarship that will help him cover his tuition. He is a humble, respectful, hardworking, and obedient boy. We have no doubt that Christopher will honor your gift as he pursues his studies and steps into his God-given potential.
Christopher needs an education or boarding sponsor for $35/month or both for $70/month.
