Innocent is the youngest in a family of five children, all boys. His father was a hardworking man and an able provider, but he tragically and unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack in 2013. Afterwards, his mother struggled to care for them and was heartbroken when she could not provide. Several of Innocent’s elder brothers had to drop out of school to help her tend gardens to raise money for the family, but, even after all their sacrifices, they were still unable to see the younger siblings fed, clothed, and educated on their own.
Innocent joined EWT’s education program when he was eight years old, and he has since been a diligent and excellent student, never taking the opportunity to be in school for granted. He is an extremely hard worker and was among the top performers in his class. The spirits of his entire family have been renewed and encouraged by the changes in his life.
Innocent has recently made the transition to secondary school, where we have no doubt that he will continue to thrive. Because there are no good secondary schools near where he lives, he now needs a second sponsor to cover the costs of his boarding. We have been praying that God will raise up someone to stand with this family, who will help them to know He is still with them and for them. We praise God for raising up you!
