Farming Project Is Changing Lives!

The harvest for our 1,800 farmers has recently taken place, and we thank God for what He has done. Despite another year of drought, many of the farmers have done well because of their trainings and the high-quality seeds that they received (much thanks to EWT partners).

Lily, who is among our best farmers, recently told us, “I thank God for this farming project. Last year I was able to send my sons to school. One went for medical studies and the other son for training to be a driver. This year I will be able to expand my farming business and improve my house. I am so grateful and am working with all my heart to be successful with this opportunity God has given us.”

It is hard to express what this farming project has meant to people living deep in the village. Before, they didn’t have good seeds, tools, training, or a good market for their crops. Now they have all those things and are working together as a cooperative.

Moses, another one of our farmers, told us, “This farming project has fulfilled Matthew 6:33 in my life. It says that if we seek first the kingdom of God, then these other things shall be added to us. I have tried my best to do that and am now becoming able to achieve my dream of taking care of my family.”

This year, Moses and his wife were able to send all their children to school, buy a solar system for their home, and purchase a pair of oxen to increase their future farming production. Moses told us, “I have been so humbled by God’s faithfulness and can’t thank the US sponsors enough!”
